GIS Data Analyst

Brown and May Marine (BMM) is a well-established fisheries and marine environmental consultancy with an extensive portfolio of clients in the offshore wind, subsea cable and oil and gas industries in the UK and across Europe.
Due to continuous growth we are currently looking for an Experienced GIS and Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate would be responsible for the daily management of the company’s GIS related work and the supervision of work undertaken by junior staff. In addition, he/she would be expected to provide advice and expertise on GIS workflows and best practice and lead on fisheries and environmental data management and acquisition.
The role will require significant liaison with clients, colleagues and other parties (i.e. fisheries and environmental data centres, fisheries organisations, etc) and a positive approach to team work. Good communication skills and the ability to convey clear and concise information to people from a wide range of technical backgrounds is therefore essential for the role.
Given the flexible nature of our team, there would be opportunities to get involved in other aspects of the company’s work, including the undertaking of consultation with fisheries stakeholders in the UK and Europe. Similarly, there will be the opportunity to undertake offshore survey work. Full training will be provided.
The role will be based in BMM’s office in Suffolk.
Salary: TBC depending on experience
